A nation among others, where a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit will begin, a move of God unlike any that have ever been before, ushering in what every one of us who loves Jesus longs for…

All month long my heart has been in Scotland, my spirit stirred with longing to return. To walk again upon the sandy white beaches of the islands and climb the rocky hills; to hike in the rugged Highlands, through the forests, and in the peaceful glens…
To touch heaven while standing on earth, in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ and His angels, to pray, earnestly contending for revival and the final awakening to begin.

I’ve pondered before the Lord the reasons why I love this nation so; remembering how it all began and wondering why this desire to return has suddenly swept over my soul, bringing with it a passion to walk ever closer to the Lord, to live daily in the fullness of the anointing imparted to my spirit while there.

It’s because of the Fathers love and will revealed to my heart. The very love of Jesus Christ which compels me to pray; interceding for His will to be done in the lives of those He has called and chosen for His eternal plan and purpose.

So what has Scotland got to do with this?
All I can say is what little I’ve been shown; it will be one of the places where revival and awakening begins, with an outpouring of the Holy Spirit so powerful, so full of the light and life of Christ, it will radically transform and change the lives and very being of those He touches.

Revival is a divine work of God’s grace, as His Spirit is poured out as it was on the Day of Pentecost. Not born of the will of man or brought about by our efforts, It’s His mighty power unleashed that brings sinners and sleeping believers alike under conviction, and to a place of repentance, where grace is imparted for faith to believe and be restored. Lives are transformed and changed, even cities and nations as spirits awaken and respond to the life of Christ within!

There are many looking to the past, studying prior moves of God and the lives of the men and women He worked through as if they could find a key that would unlock the windows of heaven and bring down the Spirit once again. But the key does not lie in the past, it lies within the presence and Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ living in you and I today. It will come as we seek His face, and yield to His grace, when we die to ourselves so that He may fully live in and through us.

And while we’ve looked for it all of our lives,and seen much in the Spirit throughout the years, it was during my first journey to Scotland I experienced a deeper taste of reality of the blessing to come. It was as if every grace was given a deeper anointing and richness, my spirit awakened to Christ’s anew, and yet it was still only a very small glimpse and dim reflection of His glory to come.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples;
but the LORD will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.
And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3

The call to Scotland began about 10 years ago when I discovered it was where my grandmother’s family was from. It surprised me as I had assumed she was German like my grandfather. What happened in my spirit upon hearing this is beyond description, but I knew it was important and significant for me spiritually.

After hanging up the phone I dropped to my knees; asking the Lord why I was so moved by this news and weeping with joy. Until that moment I had never even had a desire to go there. And while I knelt, I was given a vision of a place I’d seen many times before, but only in my thoughts, prayers and dreams. I knew in that moment that someday I’d go to Scotland and Ireland as well; though I didn’t know when or even why.

We were in a busy season of life at the time, involved with a church plant ministry and school, and thoughts of a trip abroad were quickly forgotten. It would be another four years before the Lord turned my heart back to Scotland, through the following vision…

I was praying one day when I was taken in the Spirit to a place high above the nation, which spread out below me like a map. I could see the mountains, rivers, lochs and firths, and the islands off the west coast. Small holes pierced the country through which narrow shafts of light burst forth, each one becoming a fire which grew until the entire nation burst into flame.

The Lord spoke saying He was lighting small fires in various places that would turn into a mighty fire of revival and awakening, but unlike any that had been before. It would begin with men and women of God that were “hidden” throughout the land. People who had been earnestly praying for revival, some for many long years, unseen and unknown to men but close to the heart of God.

Then I saw people come from all over the world to dips torches into this holy fire; taking it back to their homelands and wherever else the Lord would send then. It was revealed as well, that God had placed a prophetic Light in the region when the foundations of the earth were laid, which was part of the fire about to be released. The Light of the Lord Jesus Christ released, resulting in changed lives that are truly a testimony of Jesus life and light within; “For the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy” Rev. 19:10 ,

This testimony of Jesus would awaken and empower the sons and daughters of God, filling them with His life and glory, enabling them to be an effective witness of and for the Lord Jesus Christ in this last Age before His return. While none may know the day and hour, we must discern the time. It’s drawing near, and yet we still have time.

Somehow we were being called to be part of it, along with others who, unknown to each other, were being awakened and summoned to come. To join with the angels contending for the Light of Christ to be released, as the Spirit breathed upon the land and it’s people, one last time with a call to Awaken, Arise go forth in the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, that the final harvest may be brought in.

Not long afterwards an angel took me in the middle of the night to Scotland , whether it was a dream or not, I cannot tell; only that it was very real. During that experience there was knowledge and revelation imparted to me about the nation, it’s history, it’s present condition and with it a glimpse of what was coming, as that which was taking place in the eternal spiritual realm where God exists, began to manifest in the natural as the veil between the two continues to thin.

I had the honor of being able to witness and somehow participate in the warfare that was taking place in the spiritual realm over the country, nothing quite like that had ever happened before; it was an awesome, humbling experience I struggle to even share as there are no earthly words to describe it. I can only say that for days, the wonder and glory of it lingered, lifting me far above all earthly care; preparing my heart and spirit for a journey that would change my life forever.

It left me longing for revival again, to see the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ breathed out across the earth, His life and Light released; to be part of the great awakening. And that longing is being fanned into flame again, in the grace and mercy of the Lord!
